Laboratory testing is a crucial part of any evaluation in the chronically ill.  The tests we offer are for the most part more specialized tests, which allow a more detailed look at the metabolism and nutritional status of the body.  Often routine laboratory testing is normal in chronically ill patients, but a more in depth look often reveals many problems that are amenable to treatment.

Plactest
Sale Price: $110.00

Measures Lp-PLA2 the enzyme that carries cholesterol molecules into the artery wall causing plaque build up. It is the only FDA test approved for the early detection of both cardiovascular disease and stroke. Studies by the Mayo Clinic show that if your plac score is under 200 you have less a 5% risk of a stroke or heart attack.

Lp-PLA2 (lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2) is a vascular-specific inflammatory enzyme implicated in the formation of rupture-prone plaque. It is plaque rupture and thrombosis that cause the majority of cardiac events, not stenosis.

The Plac Test is one of the earliest warning we have for rupture prone plaque, which may be completely asymptomatic until it breaks loose causing a heart attack or stroke. Rupture prone plaque accounts for approximately 74% of all cardiac deaths from heart attack.

US BioTek Laboratories' Environmental Pollutants Profile quantifies exposure to select environmental toxins: aromatic solvents, paraben and phthalates.
Great Plains Microbial Organic Acid Test.
Sale Price: $215.00

The Microbial Organic Acids Test (MOAT) is included in the Organic Acids Test (OAT) and primarily shows metabolites produced by yeast and bacteria. The additional indicators are also yeast and bacteria metabolites. At lower test values, they are related to yeast or bacterial dysbiosis. Higher test values can indicate a rare genetic condition.
Great Plains Urine Organic Acid Test

The Organic Acids Test (OAT) provides a metabolic “snapshot” based on the products the body discards through the urine. These small, discarded organic acid molecules are byproducts of human cellular activity, the digestion of foods, and the metabolism of gastrointestinal flora. At certain levels, organic acids in urine may be indicators of toxicity or “markers” of metabolic pathways. Metabolites of yeast or gastrointestinal bacteria appear against the background of normal human metabolites and provide an assessment of yeast and bacterial activity.
